Adornment for your story

The jewelry we wear tells the stories of our lives: earrings you wore that summer you met the love of your life, the lucky necklace you wear to all your business meetings, the birthstone rings you wear to keep your family close to your heart.

They hold memories and feelings that are inextricably linked to our identities- who we are and who we want to become.

Our mission is to create versatile and modern pieces that can be worn wherever life takes you. Each piece of jewelry has been carefully designed and crafted with quality and sustainability in mind.

When you purchase a piece of our jewelry, know that it was thoughtfully designed and crafted with hands that wholly believes that our Earth and it’s people are all connected.

Meet the founder

Chrissy founded KITE in 2016 out of need for a creative outlet during her parental leave. Over the years, KITE grew alongside her metalsmithing skills and customer demands. Chrissy is inspired by the endless possibilities in jewelry design and believes jewelry is more than shiny objects- they hold memories and tell stories.

Chrissy is often asked the meaning behind the name "Kite". To many, the kite represents freedom, joy, good luck and the ability to reach higher. She feels your jewelry should give you that same sense of freedom and joy to express your true self.

When she's not in the jewelry studio, she can be found in the gym, enjoying the great outdoors with her two young children (life long Calgarian!) or working on her latest passion project.  She believes the best memories are made when the music is loud, the food and drink delicious and you’re in the company of a few good people.
